Wrong Inverter - Bur Made It Right
Was sent the wrong inverter; 12V instead of the required and ordered 24V. Received the wrong one the night before the electrician came to install the solar system at my off-grid house. Naturally without the proper inverter, I still had no electricity.
The company expedited the shipment of the correct one via FedEx, and that was great. In their defense, it is perhaps possible during COVID crisis that their employee that took the order over the phone simply wasn’t doing their normal job; alternately someone in shipping/inventory dropped-the-ball and made the mistake.
So very disappointing and it cost me a good deal of money for electrician’s return trip and hours; however they got it right the second time, were nice to work with, and, as I said, expedited shipping of the right replacement inverter. Oh, also provided me via e-mail a return label for FedEx, so all I had to do was re-box in original packaging and drive it to FedEx - no cost other than gas and time.
