How much power can this solar kit generate per month?

If we assume there's roughly 6 good sun hours in most states per day, the solar panels will produce around 25.8kw of power every single day of the week, for a total of approximatley 770KW per month!
Can I expand this system in the future?

Yes, you can easily add more solar panels and batteries to all of our solar kits. You can also stack another inverter onto this system and get 12,000W of pure sine wave output!
What type of solar panels are included?

You'll always receive monocrystalline solar panels from one of the leading brands in the solar industry. Backed by a minimum 25-Year power output warranty. We do our best to source all of our solar panels from North America, Mexico or Vietnam. Most popular brands we carry are Aptos, Phono, Mission and SolarEver.
How long will my battery bank last?

You'll be covered by a 5 or 10 year warranty depending on if you have an AGM (5 years) or Lithium (10-Years) battery bank. To calculate daily run times, divide the total battery bank watt hours by your average load in watts to get rough hours of run time.
Can I install the system myself?

We've created the kits for absolute simplicity. That said, we highly recommend getting the help of a professional installer / certified electrician. You should plan on potential costs associated with this as well.
Can this kit handle a well-pump and/or other 240V appliances?

Yes! This kit comes with a 6,000W pure sine inverter/charger setup with built-in split phase capabilitiies. This means it can handle things like well pumps, dryers and 240V air conditioning units since it can output 120/240V of power.
Can I use a generator or the grid to charge my battery bank if needed?

Absolutely. Your inverter comes ready to go with an AC input where you can hook up a stand by generator for charging the batteries on cloudy days or at night if needed. You can also use the grid as the AC input source if it's available.
Can I sell power back to the grid with this system?

No you cannot. However, most people who buy these kits are looking to gain power and grid independence and opt for storing or using any excess power they may have!
How big is all of this? How much space do I need?

The solar panels will be the biggest in terms of taking up space. Other than that, everything should fit in the back of a truck or in the corner of your home / garage. Panels are the only things you can leave outside, everything else should be stored somewhere dry and temperature controlled.
Where is this equipment made?

We do our best to source as much product from North America as possible. Our solar panels are USA, Mexico or Vietnam and most of our batteries and inverters are designed and assembled in the USA.
Do the batteries need to be inside or outside? Does it matter?

Batteries like to be around the same temperature as humans. They also like a temperature controlled environment. So putting them in a garage that is 40F' in the morning and 110F' in the afternoon is NOT ideal. They'd prefer to be in a basement that sits somewhere around 60F-90F on a consistent basis. That said, lithium batteries can be used when below 32F' but not charged unless they are above 32F'.
Do I need to buy anything else?

You'll have all of the essential parts you need to get up and running...However, you will want to plan on a trip to the hardware store to buy any necessary installation tools, ground rods/wire as well as UniStrut if needed for mounting the solar panels. Outside of this, you'll be getting all of the most important components in your kit!
How long will it take for me to get my kit after ordering?

If you're in the lower 48 states we do our best to get you your order within 9-12 business days. Recently with the incredible demand for products, our delivery times to customer's door are averaging around 10-15 business days. You will receive your tracking numbers as soon as they are available.

With a 6,000 Watt split phase (120/240V) ouput, this means your system will be powerful enough to run everything from an air conditioner and well pump, to lights, fridges, TV's, fans, kitchen appliances and more!

Easily expandable in the future, you can add another inverter, more batteries and up to 10,000 watts of solar panels as needed.

The 4,000+ watts of solar panels that are included (12 x 390W) will keep a charge on the batteries all day long using sunlight and will recharge your battery bank in approximately 3-5 hours of good, full sun.

What Can This Kit Actually Power?

CSK-PRO comes standard with 8 x 200ah AGM batteries giving you 9.6kWh of useable battery capacity. This means it could run a fridge pulling 100W of power, for 96 hours without needing a recharge.

If we assume there's roughly 6 good sun hours in most states, the solar panels will produce around 25.8kw of power each day (or 774kw/month).

We really only need 18-20+ hours of battery bank in order to get us through the night and to when the sun comes back up the next day, so anything over and above this would be considered backup for cloudy days.

This solar kit is perfect for large off-grid homes, home backup, or as a larger RV system / mobile business applications.

*You can upgrade the battery bank to give you more storage and run time. The 200AH Lithium battery bank option will essentially double the size of your battery bank & run times.

What Does Off-Grid Mean?

Great question. It means this system does not tie in with your local power grid / utility company. So there's no "selling" excess power back to the power company. Off-grid means your system operates 100% independent of the grid. Any excess power you're making during the day goes right into your 8 batteries included with the kit so that you can run your home / RV / cabin / shop / business all night long when the sun isn't shining.

Is Off-Grid Better Than Grid-Tie? Or Do I NEED to be tied to the grid?

It really depends on who you ask. Most of our customers are looking to gain "grid independence" or have no option for grid power. They don't want to rely on the local power company to keep their lights on and food cold, especially during emergencies. When you install a grid-tied solar system, this means that if the grid goes down... Your solar power on your roof is useless. You NEED batteries on your system to be considered off-grid.

There's a lot more involved with a grid tie system (think permitting, AC coupling, remote monitoring etc.) which typically makes these types of solar power systems much more expensive. Whereas off-grid solar systems require a lot less bells and whistles and are much easier to install.

Sometimes off grid is the only option as well. If you have a remote cabin, RV, Skoolie or any other form of off grid property our complete off grid solar kits are a great power solution!
