Installation Notes (Rail Splice Assembly):

Rail splice arrives partially assembled with one end inserted 5" into the 9" rail, secured by (1) bolt + channel nut

Slide the second rail section over the splice until it contacts the first rail section, then install the second bolt + channel nut

Tighten both bolts to 144 in-lbs (12 ft-lbs)
-
If a locking bolt interferes with mid-clamp placement, it can be loosened and moved slightly during module installation
