What Can the Ecoflow Delta Power in my Home?

Power of Ecoflow Delta 1300 Power

When fully charged the Ecoflow Delta 1300 can power up household appliances like your coffee maker and fridge.

  • You will be able to run a large fridge at 150W for about 10 hours.
  • You can make around 50 cups of coffee with a coffee maker that pulls around 600W.
  • An electric grill can run at 1650W for about an hour.
  • You can run one 10W light for about 36 hours.
  • You can charge your cell phone (6W) around 188 times.
  • Your laptop (49W) can charge up to 24 times.

Remember, this is on one full charge of the ecoflow delta and this power will be dispersed amongst these appliances and devices so you cannot run your electric grill for an hour while making 50 cups of coffee, but you could run your grill for half an hour, and make 25 cups of coffee.

Discharge Rate

The discharge rate of the Ecoflow Delta is dependent on the devices that the system is powering. The battery holds 1300Wh of power, so it can run everything but the most power-intensive appliances in your home.

One of the concerns of the Ecoflow Delta is the poor round-trip efficiency. The battery is very good at storing and discharging power, but it draws much more energy than it is able to hold.

The round-trip efficiency of the Delta is rated at 58%. This means that 42% of the power put into the system is lost. In other words, in order to fully charge your Ecoflow Delta 1300Wh battery, 1846 watts will be drawn.

This isn’t much of a drawback if you’re relying on solar power to keep the battery up, but it can add to your electricity bill if you’re charging it directly from a wall socket. Unused, the battery will maintain a charge for nearly 12 months.

The battery has a 3,300W surge protection rating, so it’s not likely to get blown from a power surge short of being struck by lightning.

The battery fares reasonably well after repeated discharges. The producers rate that the battery will hold 60% capacity after 800 full discharges. This is good if you’re only using the Delta as a backup generator, but it will degrade quickly if it’s constantly in use.

Charging Ecoflow delta

Ecoflow Delta 1300 Cables & Charging Accessories

The Ecoflow Delta 1300 comes with a host of accessories that enable all of its functionalities straight off the bat.

All the necessary power and charging cables are packaged in the box with the battery, so there’s no need to fork out extra cash to buy odds and ends.

Cable converters for international outlets are available for consumers outside the United States. There are also a number of extra cables for specific uses, such as jumper cables for your car battery which can be run directly from the Delta 1300.

Many people are attracted to the prospect of using solar panels for Ecoflow Delta to charge the device. It’s compatible with most solar panels, and they can be bought directly from the supplier.

The battery bank is dense and surprisingly heavy. If you struggle maneuvering the 30lb block, consider getting yourself a folding hand truck trolley so you can wheel your generator anywhere you please.

Power Competitors

Ecoflow delta 1300 alternatives are a dime a dozen. There’s a cottage industry of small battery generator producers in America. Some of them provide professional, top-notch products, others less so.

Probably the biggest competitor to the Ecoflow Delta is the Jackery 1000. Directly comparing the Ecoflow Delta 1300 vs Jackery 1000 shows the strengths and weaknesses of both.

But the Delta fares much better in terms of its charging speed and capacity. The Ecoflow Delta can achieve a full 1300W charge in just under two hours, 10 times faster than the nearest competitor.

For a similar price, the Delta 1300 gets 300W more capacity than the Jackery. This might not seem like much, but that can mean running your fridge for an extra hour.
