Works great, but issues with generator charging

I’m a relative novice but this has been super easy to use, takes the guesswork out of compatibility etc. very streamlined. I’ve owned the green and the white.

My only issue with this green one is that the programming can be funky when charging via a generator. If it has received PV input since it was last turned on, it will charge via my 2400w generator without issue.

If it hasn’t received PV input, it will either do nothing, or instantly overload the generator without it even revving. I’ve tried every combination of settings possible, and gotten it to work 2-3 times, but I’m unable to reproduce it even when I put in the same settings that worked before.

I’m giving this 5 stars because I really do like the unit, and shopsolarkits support really has been top notch. I think I just got a funky unit.

Shop Solar Kits == 5 Stars in my book...

Yes the MPP Solar Inverter is a beast ... amazingly well built. But what you're really getting is the decades of SOLAR KNOWLEDGE behind the products. I was having a wiring problem - and not only did they send me a diagram - but they built a Combiner Box ... who does that anymore? That's truly 'old school' customer support - and that's what required in an innovative industry! Thanks Shop Solar Kits!!!

It is the best I have used!

This all in one inverter just works! No fuss or muss it just puts out the power. I have a Victron Multiplus II that I have to fool with all the time to do what the LV-2424 just does!

Great product!

The only reason this did not get a 5-star review was because the only shipping option was $100, which seems unnecessary.

Otherwise, this is a great product that arrived ahead of schedule. The documentation comes in a CD (compact disc) format, which is a bit dated, but the docs can be found online with a quick Google search.

The LV2424 itself is a solid system. I have not had any issues with it performing as expected. I would definitely recommend this to friends and family looking to get a basic system up and running without all the fuss.
