PLACARDS AND LABELS OVERVIEW

Placards and labels are two of the things that may be required by your AHJ and utility during their inspection of your solar installation before you can be given a permit to operate or PTO.

These placards and labels are specifically specified in the National Electric Code or NEC. The NEC also has a list of specifications for them, such as those for the size of the placards, materials used, and color of the background and texts.
