Why Choose Shop Solar

All types of batteries need to be above freezing in order to charge them. This lithium battery heating system allows you to use your lithium batteries on those cold weather campouts. The thermostat turns on at 42 F with a +/- of 5 degrees. It turns off at 68 F with a +/- of 5 degrees. And it only takes 5A when warming the battery and ½ per hour on standby.

WINTER USAGE TIPS

Lithium batteries perform better than lead acid batteries in most weather conditions. It can charge between temps of 32° and 113°F and can discharge between -4° and 131°F at 100% rate.

ALL types of batteries need to be above freezing in order to charge them. As a result, it is best to use the batteries in a climate controlled location (not on the tongue of a trailer or using a lead acid battery compartment that has to be ventilated, thus allowing freezing air to circulate around the battery).
The Safari UT and other lithium batteries can be placed in an insulated space, inside the RV or other climate controlled areas. Some users have suggested using a Battery Heating Pad that you can find online. We recommend using the battery in a climate controlled location.

Lion battery warmer

Price is right, should put it to the test later this month. No instructions included but fairly easy, connections were to small for my battery I put bigger ones on. Wire broke loose from switch so I bypassed and wired to my switch. Questioned Lion Energy where the thermostat was located and apparently there customer service is a AI computer. Never got an answer that made any sense. Shop Solar handled my questions.

battery warmer

After waiting over a month to recieve my 2 battery warmers one of them does not work. The warmers do not come with much of an instruction information. I contacted Lion Energy direct to ask a question about the issues I was having and they informed me I have a bad warmer. Was going to contact Shop Solar to work on a replacement however Lion Energy said they would save me the trouble and get one in the mail to me. I appreciate Lion Energy resolving my problem.

EG4 off-grid base kit, Happy with my purchase.

This is the first stage of my three planned purches. I got the eg4 inverter 6000 XP base kit with six 400 watt panels and the two server rack batteries. Did a little online research and followed the instructions and it got set up without any issues. Right now I'm just running it in my garage on a single outlet and have been running dual 750 watt water distillers with it. Once I get the second inverter and a bunch more panels and batteries, I plan on attaching it to my subpanel in my house that has my lights and outlets and appliances on it. Then I'll get a soft start for my AC and blower and run it on my main panel.
