This lithium battery heating system allows you to use your lithium batteries on those cold weather campouts. Uses only 1/2 amp draw! ALL types of batteries need to be above freezing in order to charge them. The thermostat turns on at 42 F with a +/- of 5 degrees. It turns off at 68 F with a +/- of 5 degrees.

WINTER USAGE TIPS

  • Lithium batteries perform better than lead acid batteries in most weather conditions. It can charge between temps of 32° and 113°F and can discharge between -4° and 131°F at 100% rate.
  • ALL types of batteries need to be above freezing in order to charge them. As a result, it is best to use the batteries in a climate controlled location (not on the tongue of a trailer or using a lead acid battery compartment that has to be ventilated, thus allowing freezing air to circulate around the battery).
  • The Safari UT and other lithium batteries can be placed in an insulated space, inside the RV or other climate controlled areas. Some users have suggested using a Battery Heating Pad that you can find online. We recommend using the battery in a climate controlled location.

Lion battery warmer

Price is right, should put it to the test later this month. No instructions included but fairly easy, connections were to small for my battery I put bigger ones on. Wire broke loose from switch so I bypassed and wired to my switch. Questioned Lion Energy where the thermostat was located and apparently there customer service is a AI computer. Never got an answer that made any sense. Shop Solar handled my questions.

battery warmer

After waiting over a month to recieve my 2 battery warmers one of them does not work. The warmers do not come with much of an instruction information. I contacted Lion Energy direct to ask a question about the issues I was having and they informed me I have a bad warmer. Was going to contact Shop Solar to work on a replacement however Lion Energy said they would save me the trouble and get one in the mail to me. I appreciate Lion Energy resolving my problem.
