Can it export power to the grid?
Yes, this is a Grid-tied Hybrid Inverter.
What size generator is needed to recharge the system?
If you want to power all your loads AND recharge the batteries, then you need a generator 1.5 times the inverter rating.
However, if all you want to do is recharge your batteries, you can use smaller generators to do that.
Can it export power to the grid?
No. The inverter can used grid as input to backup loads, peak shave and charge the batteries if solar panels are not sufficient.

The Prime Plus is not designed to run an entire house. It can power remote cabins, barns, tiny homes and ADU's, but a regular American home is not what this kit is designed to power.
You can power a significant portion of your homes needs with this kit and provide back-up power for your critical loads. You can also install a sub panel to power entire appliances (off-grid) at your main home.
Can I really install this kit myself?
Yes. We’ve designed the Prime lineup to be DIY-friendly. Each kit includes pre-cut cables, detailed wiring schematics, and all the parts you need. In fact, most homeowners handle the majority of the assembly themselves, and get a local professional to do the high voltage connections and the connections to the homes electrical panel.
Its also super simple to have a local professional come and install the whole kit if you wish to go that route since everything is included.
