What solar panels are included with this kit?

You'll receive 200W monocrystalline solar panels from one of the leading brands in the solar industry. Backed by a minimum 25-Year power output warranty. We do our best to source all of our solar panels from North America, Mexico or Vietnam. Most popular brands we carry are Aptos, Phono, Mission and SolarEver.
How long will my battery bank last?

You'll be covered by a 10-year warranty. The battery is Lithium LFP meaning it's rated for up to 6,000 lifecycles (15+ years of daily use). To calculate daily run times, divide the total battery bank watt hours by your average load in watts to get rough hours of run time.
Can I install this system myself?

We've created the kits for absolute simplicity. That said, we highly recommend getting the help of a professional installer / certified electrician. You should plan on potential costs associated with this as well.
Can this kit handle a well-pump and/or other 240V appliances?

Yes. This kit is capable of running 120V and 240V appliances. This includes well pumps, dryers and 240V air conditioning units.
What sort of solar panel racking is included?

We include pre-drilled frames on the solar panels along with standard z-brackets to make mounting the panels to the structure of your choosing as easy as possible. Most of our customers make their own racking systems using locally sourced UniStrut or add one of our ground racks to your order.
Can I use a generator or the grid to charge my battery bank if needed?

Absolutely. Your inverter comes ready to go with an AC input where you can hook up a stand by generator for charging the batteries on cloudy days or at night if needed. You can also use the grid as the AC input source if it's available.
Can I sell power back to the grid with this system?

No. This kit is not designed to sell power back to the grid. However, you can use grid power to recharge your battery bank.
How big is all of this? How much space do I need?

The solar panels will come on a pallet and can be left inside or outside. The batteries are the biggest and heaviest deliveries at around 4 ft tall and 2 ft wide. All together you'll need a good corner of a garage or a spare bedroom worth of space for storing all of the equipment before installing it.
Where is this equipment made?

We do our best to source as much product from North America as possible. Our solar panels are USA, Mexico or Vietnam and most of our batteries and inverters are designed and assembled in the USA.
Do the batteries need to be inside or outside? Does it matter?

Lithium batteries like to be around the same temperature as humans. They also like a temperature controlled environment. So putting them in a garage that is 40F' in the morning and 110F' in the afternoon is NOT ideal. They'd prefer to be in a basement that sits somewhere around 60F-90F on a consistent basis. That said, lithium batteries can be used when below 32F' but not charged unless they are above 32F'. For specs see below:

Do I need to buy anything else?

You'll have everything you need to get up and running with our kits. That said, you will want to plan on a trip to the hardware store to buy any necessary installation tools, ground rods and wire as well as UniStrut if needed for mounting the solar panels. Outside of this, you'll be getting all of the most important components in your kit!
How long will it take for me to get my kit after ordering?

If you're in the lower 48 states we do our best to get you your order within 5-15 business days. Recently with the incredible demand for products, our delivery times to customer's door are averaging around 9-12 business days. You will receive your tracking numbers as soon as they are available.

6,000 Watts of Pure Output

The CSK-MAX solar kit gives you the option between 6 x 200ah AGM or lithium batteries. Lithium batteries double your capacity. However, even with the base AGM option, you will have 600ah of useable battery capacity. This equates to rough 7.2kWh of useable battery bank on top of the 1,200 watts of solar panels that will be generating an additional 1.2kw of power per hour while the sun is shining.

If we assume there's roughly 6 good sun hours in most states, the solar panels will produce around 7.2kw of power each day (or 216kw/month).

We really only need 15-18 hours of battery bank storage in order to get us through the night and to when the sun comes back up the next day, so anything over and above this would be considered backup for cloudy days.

CSK-MAX is the perfect solar power system for off-grid cabins, home backup, or as a mid size RV system / mobile business applications.

What comes in this solar kit?

With 1,200 watts of monocrystalline solar panels and a 6,000 Watt pure-sine inverter charger, the complete off-grid AGM kit provides 120 & 240V of AC power (240V is great for things like well pumps, dryers, stoves etc).

Also included are 6 x 200 amp hour AGM batteries (optional) ready to be hooked up in a 24 volt configuration. Giving you a total of 600 amps of battery power (about 7kwh) along with a 60 amp charger controller.

Powerful & Simple.

The 6,000 watt inverter/charger has a built in charger and can recharge the batteries when grid-tie or generator power is available. This means if you run into cloudy days, you can recharger your battery bank using a gas generator in order to top them off for clean quiet power all night long.

The solar panels are covered in tempered glass to protect from hazardous weather. The PV wiring is protected against UV, water, ozone, fluids, oil, salt and general weathering.

CSK-MAX is also ideal for large size devices such as appliances, fans, pumps, compressors, electronics up to 50 amps. Perfect for remote locations, off-grid homes, tiny houses and as emergency backup. This kit gives you the ability to charge your batteries from the solar panels, a generator or shore power if available using the 6,000 watt inverter/charger. Solar panels keep a charge on the batteries using sunlight and will recharge the batteries at 50% depletion in around 7-8 hours in full sun.

Can I use grid power to charge the batteries and/or tie this system in with my on the grid home though?

The short answer is yes. Our off grid kits come with inverter/chargers, meaning you can suck power out of the batteries as well as throw juice back into the batteries via a generator OR any form of AC shore power (aka your grid tied home). When it comes to backing up your home or tieing it in to your existing electrical system, you'll need to work with an electrician to get some form of transfer switch that will allow you to go back and forth between your homes grid tie power and your off grid battery backup.
