The Bluetti from MaxOak is part of their new generation of portable solar power stations.  It has been designed as a competitor to the Inergy Kodiak Solar generator (now called the Inergy Apex) and the Goal Zero Yeti Solar Generators.  The Bluetti is a fantastic option for any van life enthusiast or person who spends long periods of time in a mobile living situation like an RV, Skoolie or boat.

3 Options for Charging the Bluetti EB150:

AC Wall Charger (From any wall outlet): The Bluetti also has one of the fastest AC wall chargers on the market as it can input an impressive 170 watts into the power station.  In comparison, the Goal Zero yeti AC charger inputs 80 watts. This means it will fully recharge from 0% to 100% from the wall in 8ish hours.

Solar Panels: With the 4 x 100 Watt solar panels included in your kit, you'll be able to recharge the EB150 in 4ish hours from 0% to 100%. That's right, you'll charge faster from the sun than your wall!

Gas Generator: You can charge the Bluetti EB150 off of a gas generator if you needed by using the standard AC wall charger and just plug this into any gas generator and it will recharge in around 8-9 hours.

What Else Do I Need To Know About Recharging the EB150 Solar Generator?

The recommended solar input for the MaxOak Bluetti is 400 watts.  This will fully recharge your unit in around 3.5-4 hours of ideal sunlight.  Though the Bluetti is rated for 500 watts, its hard to get that exactly right and you can risk damaging the unit if you input too high a voltage or amperage. 

With this kit, you get 4 x 100 watt solar panel which is great for charging your Bluetti with solar power. At 100 watts, it will take approximately 3.5-4 hours to recharge the Bluetti from 0-100% capacity with 400 watts of solar power.

This kit also comes with everything you need, including PV connectors and 25 feet of PV extension cable so you will be able to attach your solar panels very easily and leave it in the backyard or in the sun, while the Bluetti EB150 remains at your feet.
