The Lion Safari ME GOLD Kit is one of the most anticipated solar generator kits of ever made. With it's 2,970wH lithium battery and 2,000W pure sine inverter, the Safari ME can run just about anything you throw at it. Everything I expected for a Solar Inverter Generator package plus more. Good for my RV hookup with the use of a neutral-ground bonding plug for RV battery charging plus some appliances (even the 15K AC with added SoftStartRV). Also bought a "KILL A WATT" to monitor volt/amp/watt- checking out a portable heater on low setting. Next step- set up my home breaker box so that the unit can be used for emergency use to power the essentials in my home during a power outage, such as happened this past winter for a week after an ice storm.

I received the Lion Safari ME in a timely manner. Charged the unit up and let it run for a day with nothing connected. I bought the unit to keep my freezer, refrigerator and pellet stove running when we have one of our frequent power outages. Then I connected my freezer, refrigerator, Wi-Fi Router and Quadafire Pellet stove. I let the unit run for 1 hour and the unit worked very well. We have a storm coming today so I did not run it long incase I needed it for the storm. Next week I will run a long term test with all the equipment and connect the 4 solar panels to recharge the system. It is too cold outside to test this week.

As of yet, I have not had to use the Lion Safari Generator. My rating is “neutral” at this time only because I haven’t used it. I must add, charging the generator and battery was easy. I bought a faraday bag but the strap to close it doesn’t match the one in the picture ( it’s not long enough. To seal it shut.

We purchases a Safari ME unit as our first solar generator. It had glitch and Lion Energy worked with us to trouble shoot. Ended up returning it, but they were great the whole way. In the process we ordered a different unit - but after actually wish I would have ordered another Safari ME. We are learning along the way - but the ME is a great unit, and I would buy again.
And Shop Solar Kits has an awesome support team - don't hesitate to work with them!
