The Safari UT 250 is the latest in Lithium battery technology. It replaces traditional deep cycle lead acid batteries with the safest Lithium – Iron Phosphate. It is a “plug and play”– simply remove the deep cycle lead acid battery from your RV or boat and replace it with this superior performing battery.

Plus, the life of this Lithium battery is 14 times that of deep cycle lead acid batteries. The Safari UT 250 is also a great energy storage unit for solar power from panels on homes, cabins, and businesses and RVs.

The Safari UT 250 is virtually maintenance free, meaning you don’t have to use it or even trickle charge it every 3-4 months, deal with fluids since it doesn’t have any, or remove it from your vehicle and store it for the next season. It can hold its charge for up to 2 years and can be recharged after that time too.

I t will maintain a charge for up to 2 years without having to charge it. This is known as shelf life or storage life. We recommend using it more frequently than every 2 years, though.

The Safari UT 250 also performs better than lead acid batteries in most weather conditions. It can charge between temps of 32° to 113° and can discharge between -4° to 131° at 100% rate. Outside these ranges it can discharge at a lower rate

It weighs in at just over 20 pounds and is the same 24 Group Size as other batteries. The dimensions are 10.2” L x 6.6” W x 8.6".

It is commonly referred to as a 12V, 20Ah (how much energy is stored in it), 250Wh.

Lastly, Can You Use It In Series or Parallel? 

You can increase the voltage from 12V on a UT up to 48V total by connecting them in series (4 batteries connected together via + to - posts). You can increase the Amps (A) and Amp Hours (Ah) up to 1500A and 1000Ah by connecting them in parallel (+ to + and - to -).

My tiny camper system

I really like the simplicity of hooking up the system. I do not like that the system is not powerful enough to run what I need it to do. Thought the solar panel was 400 watt but it is only 100 watt so I have to keep ordering more batteries and panels. I would recomend the brand and shop solar kits due to the speed of delivery and customer service. I have recommended them on my Facebook page and to friends and family!

Lion Safari UT 250

I wanted to add some lighting to a remote CONEX container that would only be used occasionally-hence the smaller battery. A 100w panel on the roof, an inexpensive PWM charge controller, a battery holder and a small inverter - good to go.Time will tell as to the durability of this battery, but I also have 2 other 100Ah Lions that have performed admirably.

Amazing

The size is very compact compared to previous batteries that mysteriously went dead on my Camp trailer. I am so glad these are able to hold their power over the months since the dead ones miraculously came back to life when I brought these new ones.So these are now my super back up in case the unreliable regular lead RV batteries strand us in the freezing cold again. We are pleased with the rapidity of delivery and with the warrantee, the friendliness of the salesperson and the ease of placing the order with the woman who put me wise to this fabulous great item with the more than reasonable price.

Lion you can reli-on

I put 2 of these in parallel in my daughters Schooly conversion along with 200 watts of solar panels and a 600 watt pure sine wave inverter. We took it on a 3000+ mile trip from the east cost to AZ a short time ago. We powered a Dometic CFX3-55, My CPAP machine on inverter every night, USB charging and a large Bluetooth speaker system. For only having 500 Watt Hours of power these batteries kept us going the whole time. I would only change one thing, the battery posts. It is just a threaded socket and the thumb screw is really a screw not and nut. So when you go to add another wire to the stack they all come undone and you need to get them all on the screw and then find your way back to get it screwed in again. It worked out fine when I got smart and ran only a single connection to each battery and then wired everything to a wiring bus, they way it should be...
