Note: Only 1 expansion battery can be connected at a time. You will need to manually switch them out.

Lion Safari ME [Elite] Solar Gen Kit

First and foremost, ShopSolarKits team have been great to work with through all aspects (order & technical support)! After receiving the unit, I started to test various attributes such as WH, 12V, AC invertor capacity and AC & Solar charge time for each ME and XP. The AC charging time is in line with specification. Being in the northern part of the country, Solar charge has been taking more time (to be continued next summer). I noticed a drop in advertised WH capacity. Unfortunately, I measured a15-20% drop in battery capacity which appears to be expected (my recommendation here is to buy 20% more WH capacity). The product is modular in ~40lbs unit, easy to move around, hook-up then get going. My set-up involves shutting off a breaker line and hooking the gen output to an outlet. The solar charging wires comes from outside (see picture).
