With a 460Ah at 48V (23.5kWh or 23,500 watt hours) this powerful lithium battery is by far one of the best and most cost-efficient batteries in its class and on the market today! Capable of being connected in parallel with up to 8 units per solar power system.

The Mammoth batteries comes with pre-installed Anderson connections making it ready to go for quick installation to any inverter, charge controller or bus bar. With the SB175 Anderson to ring terminal cable already included, you'll be up and running in no time!

Great solar products

Just received my Mammoth Battery and am in works of connecting to my complete off grid solar system. Once connected I will upload my whole system. Still waiting on my 10 gauge AWG 50ft PV connector.

Add-on

This battery was purchased after my original setup.

I had questions about how to hook up a third battery and shop solar kits did an amazing job answering my questions and providing a new bus bar and jumper wire for the connection. It was super easy to install.

I have installed my complete system myself and could not be happier! Shop solar kits has been great to work with.

Mammoth Battery is a beast ...

Of course the Mammoth battery is a beast and it's amazing. But the gem here is the Shop Solar Kits support team. You're getting multiple decades of knowledge wrapped into a single offering. I was having a wiring problem and they not only sent me a diagram but also built me a Combiner Box ... who does that anymore? That's 'old school' / 'amazing' support - wrapped around an innovative product suite. Simple AMAZING ... got job Shop Solar Kits!!

Using 2 to power my house

I would prefer a third, but these two do everything I want. Only about 20 cycles in, but going strong. Easy to install and the bms is all internal and very simple. It does require attention, as they don't drain equally.

With SolArc 12k

It works well with the SolArk 12k, but we discovered two items to note:

The documentation shows 58 V maximum charge

We found 56V Maximum and 55.8V Float is the correct setting for the inverter or it will cause errors

The BMS doesn’t talk to inverters, so they must be “open loop” and learn over 3/5 charge cycles

It seems to be a good value for the price point, and our home with Air Conditioning works well overnight 😊🙏
