How to recharge your Bluetti EB150 Solar Generator:

The recommended solar input for the Bluetti EB150 is 400 watts at 12 Volts. This will fully recharge your unit in around 3.5-4 hours of ideal sunlight. Though the Bluetti is rated for 500 watts of solar power input, we recommend 2 sets of 100 watt solar panels (in series) for a total of 4 x 100 watt solar panels as the optimum solar charging setup.

The Bluetti will also come with PV connectors so you will be able to attach your current solar panels to the unit without needing to buy new panels if you already have 12V solar panels.

This is my second purchase from ShopSolarKits, and service/shipping were up to par for both this and the Lion Energy UT1300 105AH deep cycle LiFePO battery.

As for the EB150, it's a fantastic concept and executed in an exceptional product. It is curious to me that people knock stars of a review because a product didn't measure up to specs they wish it had, rather than reviewing based on the actual specs and performance as built. While I only just received this unit today, I expect it to live up to the reviews I have seen by Will Prowse and Hobo Tech, both of whom made it very hard to put this purchase off for the last 6 months.

I bought the Lion Energy unit and an inverter that could output the full 150 amps (1800 watts) that the UT1300 can serve up. I built an admittedly fugly cabinet for them that I then put in my van, an eternal work in progress. I know this setup will come in handy, the tradeoff for power is portability and packaging.

Fast forward a few months from the purchase of the UT1300, and California enters the most intense fire season in history, which included the second evacuation order for our area in less than a year for Sonoma County residents. Adding insult to injury, PG&E has had multiple "public safety power shutoffs", the next one scheduled for tomorrow night. Having the EB150 on hand means I don't need to stress about keeping some "extras" like internet and the tv running, so our propane generator can be used strictly for refrigerator and freezer…
